  1. Hello,

My name is Michael Di Mascio and I am a photo researcher at Workman Publishing in New York. I am researching photos for a new book that we are publishing in association with the New York Times. The book will be an anthology of the paper’s obituaries celebrating the lives of extraordinary men and women who passed away in 2010 and 2011.

We will be including Shifra Lerer’s obituary in the book and in order to convey the richness of her life, we would like to include a photograph of her. I am writing to you to ask if you have any photos of Shifra Lerer that we could publish in the book, as a courtesy use. My deadline for photos is fairly tight, so I appreciate hearing back from you as soon as possible. If you don’t have a photo, perhaps you could provide me with a different contact who would? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are submitting digital photos, please make sure to e-mail the largest file size available (example: 300dpi at 5×7 or 8×10). If you have prints, please send them directly to my attention and we will scan them and make sure to return them to you in a timely fashion. Also, please make sure to include any relevant caption and photo credit information along with the photographs.

Thank you in advance for you assistance. I look forward to hearing from you! Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions.

    Sincerely,

    Michael
